RE: Air Compressor

I have a Viair mounted under the cab of my truck. I run it to a 2.5 gal. tank also mounted near the compressor. With it I power my air horns and have an outlet back at the rear bumper. I can run and impact wrench with it if I want to do so. I do use the rear outlet to fill my tires to 100 psi when they need filling. Like said above not cheap but they really work. Big point is the length of time the compressor will run without burning up.

RE: Roadglide bottoming out

Our trike does the same thing on some campsites and at home. I carry a 2x6 along with us and put in under the front wheel as I enter the garage. That would have to be before you enter the garage. I also don't sit on the trike. That gives me additional room. If you have air shocks try adding air to them before going in that will raise the bike some also.

RE: Campsites Along Lakes in Pennsylvania?

There also is Locust Lake state park. The lake front sites are not right on the lake but very close. Also a really neat paved road for bikes and walkers. No autos except across the breast of the dam.

RE: 2008 K-Z Sportster 33P fifth wheel

Try getting in touch with Family Camping Outlet in Pottstown, PA if you are on the eastern side of PA. That is where we bought our 35px2 and are happy with the service we have gotten from them. They will answer your questions. The difference between the 33 and 35 is the 35 has a bedroom slide and the 33 doesn't.

RE: stabilizers

Just put the ultr-fabs on our trailer. They appear to be twins of the JT Strong arms. I waited for over 1 month but never got my jt's so i canceled my order and called Tweetys. had the ultra-fabs at my door in three days with ups ground shipping.

RE: What else can I do?

We had the same problem in our toy hauler I put the Ultra-fab stabilizers on and now the trailer is rock solid. next week we go for a trip and I will really check it out. The JT strongarm stabilizers are just about the same as the ultra-fab units and vise versa. I used to go crazy when you felt someone walking into the trailer. From what I found out at home I won't even need my kin pin stabilizers anymore so I have a little more I can load in the storage bin.

RE: EZ or giant level?

We have had the giant levels on every trailer we have or had. Sure wouldn't go without them again. I use the small bubble level that comes with it for front to back level and the big one for side to side sweet and simple.

RE: Aftermarket stabilizers and Camping World

I just installed ultra-fab stabilizers on my toy hauler yesterday. I do have an enclosed under belly. You do not have to remove the material that encloses the bottom. They give you enough materials to install the stabilizers with or without the bottom being enclosed. oh yeah the jt's arm the same way also. I had ordered jt's but they were back ordered for over a month so I canceled my order and got the ultra-fab units. They are the same as the jt's. If you have a drill and ratchet set you can install them by yourself with just a few hours of work. The hardest part is getting in under and back out from in under the trailer as much as you have to by yourself for parts. The ultra-fab units also fit the swing down rear stabilizers. They really make the trailer rock solid.

RE: Buying a JT Strongarm

I just canceled my order after waiting almost 2 months with no product. They are supposedly on indefinite back order, so I ordered the units from ultrafab. They appear to be the exact same as jt strongarm. Good luck in finding them and grab them if you do find them. I had ordered them from Dyer.com. Also talked to Tweety.com and they said the same thing. Supposedly moving to a different manufacturer.

ultrafab stabilizers

Anyone put these on their 5er? I just canceled my order of JT strongarms after waiting almost 2 months and still on back order. I was wondering how the ultrafabs compare to the jt's. Any comments greatly appreciated.

RE: Pennsylvania Trip

Call your credit card company and see what they have to say. Maybe you can stop payment or else dispute the charges.

RE: Level Ease...??

As far as hooking goes I just marked the landing gear legs on my 5er with an indelible pen right where I have the proper height to hook up with my truck. I also marked where the trailer sits level front to back in my driveway. No more guessing and very cheap.

RE: TV Tires BFG vs Toyo

I have Toyo open country on my truck and couldn't be happier. Mileage looks good so far and they handle our toy hauler with no problem. all i do is air them up to 80PSI before leaving.

RE: Cougar electric landing gear dead

Also check the ground wire up there from the landing gear motor. I had mine break off. I used a test light to check for voltage and did have it, however since the ground wire was off there was no circuit for current flow. Oh yeah it cost me $35 for a trouble shooter to look at it. Live and learn.

RE: Maxxair and Rain Sensing Fan-Tastic Fan

We have the same fan and I put the Max air cover on that they make for the fan. Here is my reasoning. We sometimes want the fan to run even when it is raining, without a cover you can't do that so we installed the maxair cover for the fan. This is a different cover than the normal covers also fantastic fan says not to put a cover over their fan. You do see plenty of them with covers though. Maybe you will see them make their own cover soon.

RE: K-Z Sportster 36S3 Toyhauler

We have a 35PX2 and have a few problems. Dealer took care of them. The only thing i have going is the brakes are almost worn out after around 10,000 miles. After all the other trailers we never had to replace brakes on any of them. i am in the process of ordering new lining form a local garage. I want to find something that will last a bit longer. Other than minor annoyances we like ours.

RE: Lowering Ford pickups?

You could do like a friend of mine did and put an air suspension in the truck. When I went to Ford dealer to have my F350 lowered they told me I would need new shocks, the 2 inch spacer and also need to have the pinion angle reset. They used to do it for their customers but they stopped as it cost them to much. That is what my dealer told me anyway. I raised my trailer and am very happy I did. It only cost $200 at the KZ dealer.

RE: Video link: Someone didn't watch their clearance!

That will ruin your day. Honestly it really isn't very hard to do that. I almost did the same thing on the Natchez Trace last year. Fortunately there was a gentleman watching and he called out to me to watch my clearance. By the way the roof was over 14' high it was the support beams that were very low. There was a very small sign right outside the door saying 12' something.
